I wish to take this opportunity to welcome you all to a stimulating new year of school. I am Mr. Hawa, your teacher and guide through 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts. This year we will share excitement, intrigue, joy, sorrow, success and fun! All this and learning too, what could be better? The only thing surpassing this is you! You make the class shine, and with your help our success this year will be outstanding. In a few words, let me tell you about myself. I have several passions in life, one being teaching. I love playing a significant role in the lives of young adults. I enjoy learning something new, every day. I hope we can share some ideas about reading and writing this year with each other. I have worked in several professions before joining the teaching world. I Live in Liverpool and worked as a Youth Advocate for Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection after studying Middle/Secondary Education and English at the State University of New York at Potsdam. Upon finishing my undergraduate work, I continued my path in education studying Literacy Education at the State University of New York at Cortland with my Masters. I was an ELA teacher at Hughes K-8, and now at Grant for the past four years. I am extremely excited to be here with you this year. |
